On July 2nd 2024, our college invited Mr. Wang Ke from International Affairs Office to conduct a pre-departure education and training session for undergraduates who were about to embark on a 3 months overseas study- visiting. This event was meticulously prepared by the Office of Undergraduate Affairs, College of Plant Protection, and hosted by Vice Dean Jing Xiangfeng, aiming to provide students with comprehensive preparation and guidance for their departure.
During the training, Jing emphasized the significance of overseas study-visitings in broadening students’ international horizons and enhancing their overall qualities, and expressed his earnest expectations for the students. He pointed out that overseas study were not only an academic enhancement but also a valuable life experience, hoping that students could fully utilize this opportunity to broaden their horizons and improve themselves.
Mr. Wang from International Affairs Office delivered a detailed lecture on preparation and safety education. From packing tips, overseas living precautions, to cross-cultural communication skills, Mr. Wang provided comprehensive and in-depth explanations, giving students a clearer understanding of the overseas life they would soon face. At the same time, he particularly emphasized the importance of safety awareness, reminding students to stay vigilant in a foreign country to ensure their personal and property safety.Following Mr. Wang's excellent presentation, Ms. Man Yue from the Office of Undergraduate Affairs also elaborated on the procedures for obtaining approval for departure and invoicing, as well as other precautions. She patiently answered students’ questions regarding departure formalities, expense reimbursement, and other aspects, ensuring that each student could successfully complete all pre-departure preparations.This pre-departure education and training session not only provided students with practical guidance for going abroad but also boosted their confidence and safety awareness, laying a solid foundation for their upcoming overseas study visit. It is hoped that students will gain knowledge, broaden their horizons, and safely and successfully complete their study visit tasks over these coming 3 months.
